  • We’ll find other birdlife here as well, and we’ll be spotting for heron, kingfisher and eagle. Plus, the park may also provide us with memories of Rothschild’s giraffe and maybe lion, leopard and cheetah.

  • Moving on, we’ll sample another safari – a guided walking tour on nearby Crescent Island Game Sanctuary. This private island preserve hosts an enchanting mix of birdlife, waterbuck, zebra and gazelle. You may also come across hippo and hyena.
  • Now for our very different kind of safari – the bicycle kind. We head over to Hell’s Gate National Park – a unique spot characterized by cliffs, canyons and the eerie sight of rising steam from geothermal activity below. Hop on your bike as we pedal close to zebra, giraffe and grazing buffalo.

As evening approaches, we might even get lucky enough to see the mountain’s snow-capped summit revealed as the clouds part.

Kilimanjaro like the regal creatures they are.
