Ol Pejeta Wildlife Sanctuary & Samburu Game Reserve!

Together, these two parks create a distinctive and memorable African holiday safari filled with authentic wilderness. Ol Pejeta Wildlife Sanctuary welcomes you with all of Africa’s Big Five – including a large population of lion and even greater numbers of endangered black rhinos & the only place in Kenya where you’ll get to see chimpanzees, protected and nurtured in the Sweet Waters Sanctuary. Samburu National Reserve surpasses many other parks, due to  its great numbers of the big cats – lion, leopard, and cheetah and not to mention the elephants.

Just let your driver/guide know how you would like to plan your time. At the Ewaso Nyiro River, we’ll be on watch for the park’s great populations of lion and elephant, who come to this watering spot to refresh. At Samburu, we can also spot species not found elsewhere like the reticulated giraffe, oryx, Somali ostrich, and Grevy’s zebra. The park also shows off over 450 species of avian life, including kingfisher, vulture, guinea fowl, falcon, and eagle. Despite its arid appearance, Samburu offers many surprises for the curious safari-goer.
