This safari takes to one of the most famous safari destinations in the world. Whether you are visiting Kenya for the first time or a repeat visit, our safari is customized to meet your needs be it wildlife, culture or both. A safari to the Masai Mara never disappoints. It is not what you see but how you see it that matters, you will be accompanied by professional and experienced guides throughout the safari. The Masai Mara is Kenya’s flagship park. Sightings of four of the Big Five are pretty much guaranteed. Black rhino is more elusive, but can sometimes be spotted in the Mara Triangle. The Masai Mara is one of the best parks for big cats, but sightings of smaller predators like bat-eared fox, black-backed jackal and spotted hyena also tend to be rewarding. Antelope include impala, reedbuck, Thomson’s gazelle, eland and topi, while cape buffalo, elephants and Masai giraffes are relaxed and easily spotted.

You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel in Nairobi at 7:00am and then head south. Stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint (referred to as the Escarpment) and then head further south into the Masai Mara, arriving at the Fisi Camp in time for lunch. You will then get ready for your afternoon game drive, which will take place from 1600 to 1830hrs. You can see all of the “big five” (rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant) in this wonderful game reserve. Other popular animals include zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena and more. After the game drive you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Enjoy your breakfast at 0630hrs and then make your way into the park with a picnic lunch in hand at 0700hrs. You will spend the entire day exploring the reserve in search of the big five. Over 450 species of birds have been recorded here. You should keep an eye out for rhinos, leopards, elephants, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, warthogs, jackals, lions, many types of antelopes, crocodiles and giraffe. Whether you are a game love or an ornithologist, the Mara never disappoints! You will eat your picnic lunch along the banks of the Mara River. Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay.

Wake up early and then head out on your last game drive at 0630hrs. Return to the camp for a late breakfast before packing your luggage and checking out. You will arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon and be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your flight home or drop off to your Nairobi hotel.
